CDMA Mobile HTC and the FCC

The HTC Wildfire S is a CDMA mobile device which is at the FCC now and will most likely be available soon on one of Qualcomm's wireless technologies.

Some rumors about a roadmap have leaked which suggest that this device may be launched by US Cellular in October, but it could hit the stores of brands like Virgin Mobile, Cricket and MetroPCS sooner, and it may even be picked up by Verizon and Sprint. AT&T is first in line to sell the HTC Wildfire S, and T-Mobile is likely to get in on the act as well. The FCC filing is the first step towards the launch of the new phone, but it doesn't provide much information on the business plans of the various operators. The most likely scenario is that we see the Wildfire S released by many carriers this fall.
